Jeff Marcus, Managing director and coach

Jeff was born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland where he played basketball throughout his youth. He attended Dicksinson College playing and then serving as an assistant coach for the Women’s Varsity. After graduation he was selected to play on the USA Pan American Maccabi Basketball Team that competed in Sao Paulo, Brazil and won a silver medal. Jeff then went to George Washington University School of Medicine. While obtaining his medical degree, he participated on the scout team for the Varsity Women’s Team. In Atlanta, he became involved in coaching recreation and AAU/Travel teams for girls and boys. In 2012, he eventually created the Dunwoody United Basketball Program.

Ernestine Morgan, Program manager

Erni as she is affectionately known by our players and families is the heart of DUB. Having been with the program for 6 years, Erni makes sure every player and coach is eligible for each tournament and directs each team where to be each weekend. She is also in charge of document collection, player safety, and serves as a liaison to our program parents.

Zak elfenbein, Director of basketball Operations and Coach

Originally from Miami, FL, Zak is the Athletic Director for the Marcus Jewish Community Center in Atlanta and has been a part of the Dunwoody United Community for 1 year. Prior, Zak was a staff member and graduate assistant coach for the University of Florida Men's Basketball Team under Head Coach Billy Donovan with the opportunity to work with NBA stars such as Bradley Beal, Al Horford, and Joakim Noah.

Eric Shapiro, DIrector of logistics

As Director of Logistics, Eric’s job is to make sure that we are paying attention to the details of running a youth sports program. He has played a significant roll in helping us to host our 1st tournament in 2018 and we will be expanding that component of our program in 2019. Eric as also served as a backup assistant coach when called upon.

Fred Lee

GAVI ABRAHAM, COACH

An Atlanta native, Gavi was a 4 year varsity player in high school earning All Region Honors twice and All State as a senior.  He then attended Georgia State and now serves as the Director of Basketball Operation at the Marcus Jewish Community Center. His unique coaching style emphasizes the development of strong fundamentals and team unity.

Katherine Hill

RICKY KERSEY, COACH

A Columbia, MdD native, Ricky graduated from Georgia tech and considers himself a basketball junkie. After spending his entire undergrad stint as a practice player and manager for the GT women’s basketball team, he was hired full time as the Director of Basketball operations. Spending a total of 7 years involved with an ACC program, he has experience at one of the highest levels of the game.

Diana Simmons

BEN BORNSTEIN, COACH

Raised in Orlando, Fl Ben has spent most of his life playing basketball and has been involved with Dunwoody United for 4 years. While attending the University of Florida, Ben served two years on the scout team for the Women’s Varsity. He has developed into a versatile player and has incorporated those principles into his coaching style. Ben wants each player to understand and master a broad range of skills to be successful both on and off the court.

Jeremy Liu

RORY SPENCER, COACH

An Atlanta local who got recruited to play at Georgia Southern University after high school, Rory was a dominant rim protector and shot blocker. In fact, he still holds the Eagles all-time single season record for block shots. Upon graduation, he played for the Delaware 87ers of the NBA D- league and later played professionally in Italy, Portugal, London, Argentina and Germany.

Catherine Gupta

DANIEL QUINTANILLA, COACH

Originally from Uniondale, NY Daniel attended high school in Conyers, GA where he was a star point guard and later graduated college with a degree in Sports Management. He is a member of the Atlanta Hawks youth development team where he leads camps and trains young players at clinics around Atlanta.


Sean Clark

SHEKINAH ALEXANDER, COACH

Shekinah joined the DUB Team as an assistant coach and immediately impressed coaches, players and parents with her knowledge of the game and her ability to relate to her team. Prior to joining DUB, she spent several years coaching with The Georgia Pistols. After playing point guard at Ohio Christian University, she moved to Atlanta to begin her career as a lead pre-school teacher. Shekinah will be leading our first ever girls 8th grade team.

Anne Long

ANTHONY BAKER, COACH

Originally from the Bronx, NY, Coach Baker has been coaching and teaching basketball his whole life. He starred at Charles E. Gordon High School before moving on to play college ball at SUNY Plattsburgh. Upon graduation, Anthony took his skills to Europe where he played in a semi-pro league. He has coached at high level basketball camps for over 10 years before moving to Atlanta to coach high school.

His philosophy is very simple, hard work today will make us better tomorrow. We are thrilled to welcome Coach Baker to the Dunwoody United Coaching Staff.

BRYSON HAYNES, COACH

Bryson is originally from Pasadena, California. He began his playing career at Glendale Community College before going on to play at Div II South Dakota State. He has been coaching since finishing his playing career in 2005. He was an assistant coach for the Harvard-Westlake Girl CIF Championship Team in 2009. He relocated to Georgia in 2013 and has been serving as a skills development coach and personal trainer. Coach B stresses to his players communication, and instills in them a high level of basketball intelligence so they understand the what, why and how of the game.
